A RESOLUTION COMMENDING MALIKIA GRIFFIN UPON BECOMING A MEMBER OF THE MISSISSIPPI PRIDE FOOTBALL TEAM.

WHEREAS, Malikia Griffin has become a member of the Mississippi Pride football team; and

WHEREAS, Malikia Griffin is joining high school teammates Johnny Jones and Paul Morgan who are also on the Mississippi Pride roster; and

WHEREAS, Malikia Griffin was a member of South Panola's 1993 state championship team; and

WHEREAS, Malikia Griffin garnered numerous honors in his collegiate career at Ole Miss; and

WHEREAS, Malikia Griffin distinguished himself as a defensive back and special teams player in the Canadian Football League; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Senate to commend the meritorious accomplishments of the citizens of the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MISSISSIPPI SENATE, That we do hereby commend Malikia Griffin upon becoming a member of the Mississippi Pride football team and wish him continued success in his endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to Malikia Griffin.
